“Now, don’t you go too far(দূরে),” their teacher called after them. “You’ve only an hour(এক ঘন্টা), you know.”

Most of all they squinted (আড়চোখে তাকিয়েছিল) at the sun until tears (চোখের জল) ran down their faces. They breathed (নিশ্বাস নিয়েছিল) the fresh air and listened to the silence (নীরবতা) which held them in a blessed (মনোরম) sea of no sound.

A boom of thunder startled (চমকে দিল) them.
