It took over the bananas with his right hand and released the embroidered cap, slightly (সামান্য) crumpled(কুঁচকানো) with its left hand.

The spectators (দর্শকরা) shouted in praise.

The fruit vendor came and humbly (নম্রতার সাথে) offered the Sethji his cap.
ফল বিক্রেতা এসে নম্রতার সাথে শেঠজিকে তার টুপিটি দিয়ে দিল।
“They are hungry,” he said, “so they disturb the passengers.”
“তারা ক্ষুধার্ত,” সে বলল, “তাই তারা যাত্রীদের ঝামেলা করে।”
“Acha,” said the Sethji, and turned to go into the compartment.
শেঠজি বলল, “আছা, এবং বগির ভিতরে যাওয়ার জন্য ঘুরলেন।
The vendor said, “Sethji, please give me two annas for the bananas which I had to offer to the monkey.”
বিক্রেতা বলল, “শেঠজি, দয়া করে আমাকে বানরকে যে কলা দিতে হয়েছিল, তার জন্য দু’আনা দিন।”
“Two annas! What impudence!”
“দুই আনা!কি বেয়াদপি!”
Sethji shouted each word in disgust at the grimy fruit vendor.
শেঠিজি প্রতিটি শব্দকে বিরক্তির সঙ্গে নোংরা ফলবিক্রেতার দিকে চিৎকার করলেন।
“Please give him the money, Sethji,” the rest of the compartment said.
“দয়া করে তাকে টাকাটা দিন, শেঠজি,” বগির বাকীরা বলল।
“Acha, here are four annas for you, porter, and an anna for you, fruit vendor!” Sethji said.
“আছা, এখানে তোমার জন্য চার আনা, কুলি এবং এক আনা তোমার জন্য, ফল বিক্রেতা!” শেঠজি বলল।
“But I carried two big pieces of luggage,” the porter wailed.
“কিন্তু আমি লাগেজের দুটি বড় টুকরা বহন করেছি,” কুলি বিলাপ করে বলল।
“Go! Go! Crook!” Sethji thundered (গর্জে উঠলো) at the protesting porter.
“যাও! যাও! জালিয়াৎ!” শেঠজি বিক্ষোভকারী কুলির দিকে গর্জন করে উঠল।
The porter left.
কুলি চলে গেল।
