Once upon a time a carter was driving his cart along the muddy roads of village on his way back home. It was raining heavily at that time. Suddenly, the wheels of the cart sank into the mud and stuck so fast that it did not move an inch. The carter sad idle gazing at the cart and started praying to Hercules, the god of strength for help. God heard his prayer and appeared before him in the disguise of a wise man. He suggested him to put his shoulder to the wheel and then disappeared. The carter followed the instructions and finally the cart started moving.
Moral: God helps those who help themselves.
